Born in Denmark in 1998, Lucas Helth went on to attend the Copenhagen high school Ingrid Jespersens Gymnasieskole, from which he will graduate in the summer of 2017.


While following his studies, Lucas attended the Film School for talented youth Station Next from 2012-2014. It was here that Lucas made his first short film “BOY”, which has more than 14 million views on YouTube as well as several international awards: The Jury and Youth Jury’s Award at Seoul International Youth Film Festival 2015, Best Director’s Award at Scout Film Festival 2016, The Audience Award at TheNextFilmFestival 2015, Audience Award for Best International Short at Melbourne Queer Film Festival 2015 and Best Short at Fresh Film Festival 2015.

Lucas works with scriptwriting and directing, and he has a great talent of creating and understanding characters, which allows him to make them come to live on screen. He has previously worked as a photographer and editor on several short films, presentation videos and music videos.


“OverLove” is Lucas’ latest film project, which was supported by the Filmworkshop (The Danish Film Institute) and Regner Grasten Film. The film stars actress Caroline Vedel.
